You don't have to be a bird enthusiast to enjoy learning about birds of prey at Auburn University's Southeastern Raptor Center. In addition to hundreds of shows throughout the state and region each year, the center's educational staff conducts programs at the Edgar B. Carter Amphitheatre during home game weekends. The program, known as Football, Fans and Feathers, features hawks, falcons and eagles free-flown from flight towers, enabling guests to see the raptors up close. The Football, Fans and Feathers event will be held on Fridays at 4 p.m. and Saturdays at 9 a.m. CT before home games. Although the center is not open to the public except for these special presentation dates, groups can schedule a program by calling (334) 844-6943. Follow the Southeastern Raptor Center on Facebook.
