Auburn University, in partnership with the Alabama Department of Rehabilitation Services and the Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind, will host a White Cane Awareness Day Walk to emphasize the critical role that the white cane plays in the lives of individuals who are blind or have low vision. This essential tool allows individuals the ability to achieve a full and independent life by helping them move freely and safely in public. This event will consist of an organized walk and other activities to inform the public about the vital significance of this tool.

The walk will begin at Toomer's Corner and end on campus at the Lower Quad Lawn.
