Drawing from their book “The Metaphysics of Color,” Auburn University philosophers Michael Watkins and Elay Shech explore the fundamental questions that have fascinated scientists, artists, and philosophers for centuries. They examine how color shapes our understanding of reality and challenge audiences to reconsider whether colors exist independently of those who perceive them.

Presented in conjunction with the work of artist Anna Kunz, whose paintings and installations investigate how color, light, and space influence human experience, this program offers a unique opportunity to consider color from both artistic and philosophical perspectives.
