About this Event
255 Heisman Drive Auburn, Alabama 36849
The Office of Public Service within University Outreach will host an in-person resource and volunteer fair on September 21, 2023 in the Melton Student Center Ballroom from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. We have hosted virtual fairs since 2019 on our AuburnServes platform and now we are ready to see students and community partners in the same room. AuburnServes gives students, faculty, and staff the opportunity to propose an opportunity or serve as a volunteer with our community partners.
The Resource and Volunteer Fair will showcase the great work these local nonprofit and government organizations are undertaking in this diverse community. These organizations are focusing on areas such as housing, education, art, food insecurity and more. We are expecting to attract a diverse group of people who are passionate about our community and service. Everyone is welcome to access AuburnServes for opportunities and general information about the amazing work these nonprofit organizations are doing in Lee and Macon County.
In addition to our volunteer opportunities, we are also inviting offices across campus that provide essential resources to students, especially first year students.
This is a great opportunity for students to become aware of what’s available on campus and in our community. It is also a fun way for students to learn more about local initiatives and how they can assist locally.
For more information about the Resource and Volunteer Fair, please contact the Office of Public Service at (334) 844-5119 or email Dr. Jocelyn Vickers at jvickers@auburn.edu.
