DESCRIPTION:The Office of International Programs will host Aferdita Krasniq
 i\, outreach and recruitment specialist for the Fulbright Scholars Program
 \, September 29 and 30 for a series of information sessions about faculty 
 opportunities through the U.S. Fulbright Program. Presentations will take 
 place in the Azalea Room at the Auburn University Hotel and Conference Cen
 ter from 9 to 10:30 a.m. each day. Amanda Malone\, director of Budget/HR f
 or the Provost’s Office\, will also be available to answer questions abo
 ut Auburn’s professional improvement leave program. \n\n \n\nFulbright S
 cholars -- college and university faculty\, administrators\, and researche
 rs\, as well as artists and professionals -- build their skills and connec
 tions\, gain valuable international insights\, and return home to share th
 eir experiences with their students and colleagues.  Scholars come from an
 d go to all institution types and geographic regions across the United Sta
 tes and around the world. \n\nThe Fulbright Scholar Program for academics 
 and professionals awards more than 1\,700 fellowships each year\, enabling
  800 U.S. Scholars to go abroad and 900 Visiting Scholars to come to the U
 nited States.  Fulbright Scholars make meaningful contributions to communi
 ties abroad and at home\, as well as in their chosen fields. Upon completi
 on of their programs\, Fulbright Scholars a network of accomplished alumni
