Spend a musical evening in Spain—a country of enchanting colors, rhythms and textures—in a program imaginatively created by violinist Kristin Lee. The distinctive Spanish style is beautifully expressed in piano trios of Falla and Turina, while guitar, an instrument deeply associated with Spain, is played by Grammy Award winner Jason Vieaux. Complementing the program are vocal works by Sarasate, Rodrigo and Obradors, the texts of which beautifully express the flair and passion of the Spanish language.
The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center (CMS) is one of 11 constituents of Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, the largest performing arts complex in the world. Through its performance, education, and recording/broadcast activities, it draws more people to chamber music than any other organization of its kind.
Each season, CMS gives on average 70 performances outside of New York City, including concerts in North America, South America, Europe and Asia—all providing the same extraordinary quality of performances, beautifully crafted and engaging programs, and the opportunity to hear the world’s foremost chamber musicians.
This performance is presented as part of the Gogue Center’s 2024–25 Chamber Music Series.
Our 2024–25 season is sponsored by Walt & Ginger Woltosz.
