 nce Bells of Philadelphia’\n \n\nAuburn alumnus Tom Kaufmann\, a 1988 gr
 aduate of the College of Architecture\, Design and Construction\, will be 
 giving a virtual lecture this Thursday\, Oct. 12\, from 5:30-7 p.m.\, host
 ed by Philadelphia’s historic Carpenter Hall.\n\nKauffman is the author 
 of two books\, “Historic Alabama Bells” and “Independence Bells of P
 hiladelphia.” In his latest book\, Kaufmann claims that the Liberty Bell
  was among those rung to celebrate the first public reading of the Declara
 tion of Independence in July 1776\, despite the National Park Service’s 
 conclusion that it was not.\n\nKauffman is an architect\, historian and ar
 tist and currently works as special collections manager at Tuskegee Univer
 sity Libraries. He is also a Fellow Emeritus at the Institute of Classical
  Architecture and Art in New York City.\n\nLink to register.
