The Invention Convention Alabama (ICA) state competition will bring 250 students in grades 5-12 from across Alabama to showcase their unique invention, receive feedback from judges involved in the field, and meet other inventors/students. Prior to the event, students will be required to complete a registration, identify and provide contact information for a guardian, and complete a MOC/Media Release form. This event includes student inventors, mentor teachers, parents, judges, community partners, and volunteers. We expect about 1,000 attendees to our second annual statewide Invention Convention on April 18th, 2026. All inventions must follow RTX Invention Convention US Nationals powered by The Henry Ford Official Rules (thehenryford.org/docs/default-source/icw-documents/thf-icusn-2025-official-rules-4-3-25-v4.pdf). Prior to the awards ceremony in the afternoon, students and guardians will take down displays. Then, the event will culminate in an Awards Ceremony held in ACLC 012 that will end no later than 4:30pm.
